“When I refer a client to Progress Valley, I know that they are going to have a strong sense of responsibility when they graduate.” - Chemical Health Referral Source

Progress Valley is intended for adult men and women with a primary diagnosis of alcohol or chemical dependency who have previously completed primary treatment. Services are designed to teach residents those next steps in the recovery process. Applicants for Progress Valley services are generally referred by primary treatment centers, private therapists, alumni, employee assistant programs, public referral agencies and family or friends.

    Who Comes to Progress Valley?

Adult men and women from any part of the country who demonstrate motivation to achieve goals related to a lifestyle free of chemical use are eligible for admission to Progress Valley programs. Applicants are typically referred by primary treatment centers, private therapists, alumni, employee assistance programs, public referral agencies and family or friends. More than 95 percent of our residents come directly from primary chemical dependency treatment. Those not coming from primary treatment have had prior treatment experience. The expected length of stay at progress Valley is approximately 90 days.

Prior to admission, each client is assessed for their level of motivation, willingness and physical and emotional ability to fully participate in the program. Upon arrival, the new resident is given a thorough orientation to the program. Following an initial assessment, a counselor is assigned and the staff works with the client to develop an individual treatment plan. New residents are connected with a senior peer to receive immediate community support and begin the process of working with others to develop strong, positive, sober relationships.
